(Atlantic) The Atlantic girl’s track team has high expectations for this season; nearly everyone returns, plus some newcomers.
Thirty-four student-athletes reported to practice from a squad that sent seven events to the state track meet one year ago. The state qualifiers include; Chloe Mullenix in the 400 hurdles, 4×400, and Distance Medley Relays. Ava Rush, 1500, 4×400, 4×800, Distance Medley; Claire Pellett, 800, 1500, 4×800; and relay runners Nicole Middents, Mariah Huffman, and Haile Huffman.
The team held its annual media day on Wednesday.
