(Audubon) April 10th will be the date for a Public Hearing on the the FY24 Budget in the City of Audubon.
The property tax levy will be up from last year. “We try to keep it down, but between insurance premium going up and salaries that’s how it ended up being.”
City Clerk Joe Foran tells KSOM/KS95.7 news there’s an increase of $1.42 per thousand. “For the Fiscal 24 budget after the state has changed around some of those valuations, it looks like our tax levy is going to be $19.82 per thousand.”
In other news, the council approved an order authorizing the City Attorney to accept the deed to 312 S. Division.
