(Atlantic) The Annual Atlantic Fire Department awards banquet was held Saturday, February 25th. The Atlantic Fire Department and the Iowa Firefighters Association recognizes those that have dedicated 20 years and more to fire service.
Mark McNees was recognized for his 32 years of service to the AFD; his years of service to IFA and his past service as Chief of the AFD.

Rich Smith was recognized for 30 years of service to the AFD.

Wayne Brosam was recognized for 25 years of service to the AFD. Brosam is also an Assistant Chief of the AFD. He is also a Special Agent with the Arson & Explosives Bureau with the State Fire Marshal.
Locally, the Atlantic Fire Department recognizes those that have served for 5 years and over.
