(Cass Co) Work has begun on a bridge north of Griswold that was closed after being struck by a vehicle.
Cass County Engineer Trent Wolken told the Board of Supervisors this morning that Bridge #224 on Richland Road was hit by a vehicle and the rail was taken off. Wolken said they are working on getting that fixed today. The bridge is located on a Level B road.
Meanwhile, Wolken said the Secondary Roads are very delicate right now and they are working where they can.
Wolken said work on Bridge #32 is actually on hold at the moment due to the wet conditions in the work area.
In other news from the Supervisors, the Board approved the renewal of the 28E Agreement for Southwest Iowa Juvenile Detention and they tabled action on updating the County’s Investment Policy until their meeting on March 14th.
