(Des Moines) A bill capping medical malpractice claims for pain and suffering at two-million dollars will soon be law. It was one of Governor Kim Reynolds’ priorities for the session and passed despite opposition from some Republicans. Sixteen GOP lawmakers joined Democrats in voting against the proposal. Reynolds will sign the bill this afternoon.
