(Audubon) A feral cat issue is being addressed by the Audubon City Council.
City Clerk Joe Foran says the problem is multiplying. “The council decided instead of putting it to an ordinance they are just going to, if a citizen has an issue with a feral cat, they are going to be given a live trap and they are going to be responsible for the disposal of whatever they catch.”
The city council came to that conclusion during a meeting on Monday. “They are in abandoned buildings and stuff like that and we have people that feed them of course. What happens is because they aren’t spayed or neutered they reproduce and we get more and more and more of them.”
In other activity, Tyler Thygesen was approved as Fire Chief and the council set February 13th as the hearing date for FY Max Tax Levy.
