(Audubon) Representatives from MidAmerican Energy appeared at the latest Audubon County Board of Supervisor’s meeting.
Supervisor’s Chairman Doug Sorensen reports they approved the closeout on the wind farm project in the southeast corner of the county. “Everything has gone well. They had a really good fall for doing it. It was dry so we didn’t have to deal with a lot of mud. That’s always a good benefit when you are doing those heavy load projects.”
Roads have been restored to pre-construction project condition. “There’s a little bit of road rock yet to be done. They issued the county a check for $51,660 for rock. The process of rocking 12 miles of road is not done. That’ll be getting done in the spring.”
In other news, Sarah Irlbeck has been hired in the County Attorney’s Office. The Board of Supervisors approved the hire on Tuesday for Irlbeck as a legal assistant. HR Attorney Mike Galloway discussed changes to the handbook and possible changes to the custodial operation at the court house.
