(Anita) The CAM School Board on Monday evening approved a resolution to sell a school-owned property near the Anita campus. The resolution followed a public hearing in which no comments were for or against it.
CAM Schools Superintendent Paul Croghan tells KSOM/KS95 News the empty lot is located four blocks south of the main campus in Anita. He says the district was not using this property, there was interest, the board listed the property with a realtor, received four bids, and the board moved forward with Wahlerts Construction LLC’s offer of $26,500.00 at Monday’s School Board meeting.
Croghan understands the intention is to construct some housing on the property. He says this will benefit the school district and the community.
