A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 9 p.m. this evening to 6 p.m. Tuesday for the following counties in southwest Iowa: Guthrie, Adair, Adams, Union, Taylor and Ringgold.
The National Weather Service in Des Moines says two to five inches of total snow accumulations is expected. Locally higher amounts may occur along the Interstate 35 corridor.
Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the morning commute.
