(Union Co) An Afton man was cited after his vehicle struck a gas pump Sunday evening.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office says a 1996 Ford Explorer was parked in the parking lot of Casey’s in Afton. The driver, 37-year-old Travis Klos, was outside of the vehicle. The Explorer began to roll backwards and crashed into the middle gas pump, causing disabling damage to the pump. Klos stated the vehicle went out of gear and caused it to roll backwards.
Kloss was issued a citation for operation a motor vehicle without financial liability.
