(Sidney) An Omaha man faces numerous charges on Friday following a traffic stop in Fremont County.
According to the press release, 23-year-old Raymond A’mad Patterson faces charges of two counts of providing false information to law enforcement and fugitive from justice.
Fremont County Deputies with the K9 Unit stopped a vehicle driven by Patterson near the three-mile marker on Interstate 29. Patterson gave a false name to deputies and jail staff following his arrest. Authorities also discovered the Omaha man had an active warrant for his arrest in Nebraska.
Patterson was held in the Fremont County Jail without bond pending Iowa charges and extradition to the State of Nebraska.
The Iowa DOT Motor Vehicle Enforcement assisted the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office with the call.
