(Area) A significant change in the weather pattern brings much cooler temperatures, rain, and snowflakes. Alexis Jimenez, A meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Des Moines, says a cold front will move into Iowa late tonight, bringing precipitation that will last all day tomorrow.
Jimenez says snow will not accumulate on the roadways but could stick on grassy areas. She says rain amounts could vary from one to three inches for most of the state and lesser amounts in northwest Iowa.
