(Atlantic) Atlantic Mayor Grace Garrett is encouraging citizens to take advantage of a statewide alert system.
Garrett says for those community members who have used an alert system in the past that sends notifications of weather or other alerts, there now is a statewide program available Cass County currently uses as its’ alert system called RAVE.
Mayor Garrett says currently, 641 Atlantic citizens are using this system, which is not very many for a city of 6,700.
Garrett says anyone with questions can call Mike Kennon at the Cass County Emergency Management Office or City Hall, and they can direct people to that website.
