(Greenfield) The Nodaway Valley volleyball team will play at Audubon on Monday in a first round Class 1A Regional Tournament match. KSOM will have the call with the first serve at 7:00.
Wolverine coach McKynli Newbury says, “What we are expecting is to come out strong and do our best. Carry some of what we did last Monday into this Monday.”
A week ago the team played its way into the semifinals of the Pride of Iowa Conference Tournament with a five set win over Central Decatur in the first round. They take a 9-20 record into the postseason. “As the tournament wen ton we adjusted to hitting our spots and coverage. Our game against SW Valley compared to earlier in the season, we saw a major difference.”
Lindsey Davis has a team best 200 kills on the season along with 133 digs and 31 aces. Genevieve Livingston had 97 kills, 140 digs, and 28 aces. “We lean a lot on Lindsey Davis in our front row and Genevieve Livingston. Both of them play all the way around and are good at covering back row and doing what they need in the front row.”
Bella Hogan is 3rd on the team in kills with 73. Madi Long serves as the team’s libero and has 155 digs.
