(Atlantic) Kirk Tyler, longtime leader of the 113-year-old, family-owned Atlantic Bottling Company, announced earlier this week that his daughter Jessica and her husband son-in-law Rob Feeney are now the majority owners of the Atlantic-based company.
Kirk Tyler said when the family expanded operations seven years ago; one question was, do we want to keep it a family-owned business?
Tyler says Atlantic Bottling has some plans for future growth.
Atlantic Bottling Company, founded initially by Kirk Tyler’s grandfather in 1909 in Southwest Iowa, has over 100 years of success. Rob Feeney and his wife, Jessica (Tyler) Feeney, represent the fourth generation of the family to run the business, which now has more than 800 employees and nine distribution centers supplying customers with a wide variety of products in five states.
Rob will become the CEO, and Kirk will remain Chairman of the Board. Kirk Tyler, who succeeded his father, Jim, as leader of the family-owned company, is a 48-year veteran of the Atlantic Bottling Company.
