(Atlantic) Atlantic High School English and Journalism Teacher Allison Berryhill is receiving the Iowa Council of Teachers of English Award at a Luncheon on October 14, the ICTE’s highest honor.
Ms. Berryhill attended her first Iowa Council of Teachers convention in 1982 as a student at UNI when her college professor received this same award. Berryhill appreciates the support and thanks those that nominated her.
Allison Berryhill loves teaching English and watching students learn.
Atlantic High School Principal Heather McKay says Allision deserves this award and is dedicated to improving her students, colleagues, and the state in English Education.
The recipient is an instructional leader whose service to English/language arts has contributed significantly, with local, regional, state, and national impact in their school district, area education agency, college, or institution.
