(Thurman) A Thurman, Iowa, man faces Animal Neglect Charges in Fremont County.
The Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Morgan Moe on four counts of Animal Neglect resulting in death, and five counts of Animal Neglect, with no serious injury.
On September 17, Fremont County Deputies responded to a rural Thurman address after receiving a report of neglected animals. Upon arrival, deputies located eight puppies, and one deceased puppy was kept in neglectful condition. Authorities seized the puppies and took them to a local veterinarian for treatment. On September 18, two more puppies died, and a third was euthanized due to illness.
Authorities released Moe on his recognizance after his initial appearance in front of a Magistrate Judge.
