(Adair) The Adair County Board of Supervisors held a Pipeline and Eminent Domain Discussion during their meeting on Tuesday.
Supervisor’s Chairman Matt Wedemeyer drafted a letter for the Iowa Utilities Board. “We are not opposed to the purpose or the construction of the pipeline, but we are opposed to Eminent Domain being used as a way of achieving it.”
Supervisor Jodie Hoadley weighed in, “We know that with the Utilities Board in charge of the Eminent Domain that we aren’t going to be able to stop it, but we don’t approve of it.”
A motion was made to send the letter to the Iowa Utilities Board. It passed unanimously.
