(Ames, Iowa) — Iowa State officials unveiled the details of plans today for a major development in the parking lot area of the Iowa State Center between Jack Trice Stadium and Hilton Coliseum. It’ll be called CyTown and include a hotel and convention center, a medical clinic as well as restaurant, retail, and office space. The target for completion of the parking lot improvements and infrastructure is August 2025. The university plans to seek final approval from the Board of Regents later this fall to begin work on the project in January 2023.
