Kenneth Lee Collins age 77 of Gulf Breeze, Florida, passed away August 19,2022 in Pensacola, Florida. He was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa December 21, 1944.
He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1963. He obtained a bachelor’s degree at Bellevue University. He also served in the US Army for 20 years and retired from civil service, working as a photographer for the US Army Corp of Engineers. He was a member of the Lions Club and Abate Club.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, Earl Collins, and Mabel Jorgensen Collins.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Verna Collins, daughter and son in law Rita Collins Muckey and Rick Muckey of Gulf Breeze, Florida. Grandchildren Joshua and Mary Beth Muckey of Ft Riley, Kansas, Matthew Muckey of Ft Riley, Kansas, Sarah and Ryan Ferro of Pleasant Hill, Missouri. Seth and Alicia Muckey of Council Bluffs, Iowa. Justin and Caleb Muckey of Gulf Breeze, Florida. Great grandchildren Troy and Colton Muckey. Sister Betty and Rich Rauhaus of Council Bluffs, Iowa.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 1:00 PM, at the Oakland Christian Church. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service. Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland is assisting the family with arrangements.
