On September 1st, Following a traffic stop for speeding on Highway 34. Moesha Garcia was charged with possession of a controlled substance first offense (marijuana), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Garcia was placed under arrest and brought to the Adair County Sheriff’s Office and is being held on 1,300 cash bond.
On Friday, September 2, around 10:15 deputies with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office conducted a routine traffic stop on Sycamore Avenue and Highway 34 for a speed violation. Upon investigation. a probable cause search was conducted on the vehicle for the odor of Marijuana. Joshua Villanueva, Lenox, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance (Marijuana 1st), possession of drug paraphernalia, and a speeding ticket. Villanueva was transported to the Adams County Jail where he later posted a $1300 bond.
September 3rd, 2022, deputies with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Highway 34 and Poplar for a speed violation. Upon investigation, Mateo Mancha of Omaha, was arrested and charged with possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana 1st), Drug paraphernalia, and was also cited for speeding. The passenger Emme Eblen also from Omaha, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana 2nd) and Drug Paraphernalia.
On September 4th,the Adams County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a Burglary that had taken place at The Pub. Upon investigation, Deputies with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office arresteda12-year-old juvenile on charges that include; Burglary 3rddegree, Theft4th degree, and Criminal Mischief 2nd degree. The juvenile was released to their parents and the case was turned over to the Juvenile Court system.
Also on September 4th, Deputies with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office received a report that a trail camera had been shot by a shotgun on the landowner’s property. Upon further investigation Ashton Turner of Greenfield, and Kal Turner of Corning were arrested. Ashton was charged with Criminal Mischief 5th degree, and trespassing. Kal was charged with Criminal Mischief5th degree and Aiding and Abetting. They were both booked into the Adams County Jail and each posted a $300 bond.
