(Atlantic) Officials at Cass Health unveiled the Tyler Family Cancer Center during their open house on Sunday. The Tyler Family Cancer Center is the treatment and infusion section of the Cass Health Specialty Clinic. Cass Health Chief Executive Officer Brett Altman says this section of Cass Health is one of the essential elements of the construction project and a space that most people do not get to see.
Altman says the community support allows them to reciprocate with continued investment in their people. He says it will enable more recruitment of more family medicine positions. That cycle continues, with the recruiting of over 50 providers in the past five years. Altman says the Cancer Center is a perfect example of the hospital’s growth and continued community engagement.
Altman says true to the Tyler family’s humble nature, they initially asked the donation to remain anonymous, but Altman says he insisted the Center
Members of the Tyler family were present for the unveiling and tours of the new area, which was completely remodeled this past spring and summer. Kirk Tyler said it’s an honor for their family to be asked to contribute to the project. He said it is called the Tyler Family Cancer Center. Still, it is the Atlantic Bottling Company Cancer Center because of the great employees that have benefited from the care they received from the Atlantic Cass Health facility.
Kirk Tyler said the investment the family is making is not only for Cass Health but is a future investment for their friends, families, employees, and everyone in Southwest Iowa.
