(Audubon) The intersection of 3rd Avenue and Southside in Audubon will not become a four way stop.
The City Council passed the first reading of an ordinance to add stop sign during their July meeting, however a second reading failed to pass in August. City Clerk Joe Foran explains, “We had a few residents and they just didn’t think that it was necessary given that three of the four already had yield signs and there’s one stop sign.”
The addition of a sidewalk from the school to the rec center is what prompted the discussion on making the intersection a four way stop.
