(Fremont County) A man arrested for OWI struck the front of a parked Fremont County Patrol Cruiser on Saturday. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the northbound lanes of Interstate 29 near the 17-mile marker. The car stopped in the travel portion of the interstate. The driver then reversed, striking the parked Fremont County Patrol Cruiser, damaging both vehicles. The Iowa State Patrol arrested the driver for Operating While Intoxicated. Both vehicles sustained damage. Neither the deputy nor the driver sustained injury. The Iowa State Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
