Tri-Center improves to 9-0 on the season. Gavin Smith had two hits for Audubon. The Wheelers got one hit each from Evan Alt, Gavin Larsen, and Braden Wessel.
CAM 11, Lenox 7
The Cougars have won eight in a row. Ten of their 11 runs were scored during their final two innings at the plate. Lane Spieker was 2/3 with a homer and four RBI. Colby Rich also went deep. Seth Hensley notched a pair of singles and drove in three runs. Brody Paulsen went five innings on the mound with six strikeouts and got the pitching victory.
Logan-Magnolia 4, Riverside 2
Riverside’s offense was led by singles from Dalton Smith, Grady Jeppesen, and Garrettt Hough. Rhett Bentley and Grady Jeppesen each drove in a run. Jeppesen allowed five hits, three earned runs, walked five, and struck out seven.
Softball
Griswold 11, Nodaway Valley 1
Makenna Askeland had a home run and a double. Whitney Pennock struck two doubles. Brenna Rossell allowed five hits, one walk, and struck out nine. Whitney Lamb led Nodaway Valley’s offense with two hits and an RBI. Maddax DeVault hit a double and scored a run.
Audubon 6, Tri-Center 2
Michelle Brooks and Victoria Asmus each had two RBI for the Wheelers. Kali Irlmeier struck out six batters in seven innings with five hits, no walks, and one earned run.
Atlantic 8, Lewis Central 3
Claire Pellett 2/3 with a double and two runs scored, Jada Jensen 2/3 with two runs scored and two RBIs, Zoey Kirchhoff 2/4 with two RBIs.
