(Atlantic) The Cass County Board of Supervisors this afternoon approved an Administrative Recount of the Primary Election.

The precincts to be recounted include Precinct 2 (Atlantic 2) – the machine was off by one, Precinct 3 (Atlantic 3) machine off by one, Precinct 5 (Atlantic 5) – machine off by two, Precinct 6 (Bear Grove, Cass, Lewis) – machine off by one, Precinct 7 (Benton, Franklin, Wiota, Anita, Grant, Lincoln) – machine off by one, Precinct 8 (Brighton, Grove, Pymosa, Washington, Marne) – machine off by one, Precinct 9 (Griswold) – machine off by one.
The recount will take place Friday (June 10) at 1:00 p.m. so it can be completed prior to the June 14th Canvass.
Due to the recount taking place, the Auditor’s Office will be on limited staff Friday afternoon. However, the Engineer and Assessor Offices will help assist customers. The only item that cannot be handled is the execution of passports.
