(Atlantic) The Cass County Board of Supervisors approved a resolution for courthouse hours at their meeting this morning.
The resolution was placed on the agenda after the Treasurer’s Office posted reduced hours last week due to staffing shortage.
Board Chairman Steve Baier added, Department Heads and Elected Officials are expected to utilize good business practices of staffing and scheduling to meet this expectation. Any departure from this, whether due to weather or required activities, should be made with prior consultation of the board of supervisors.
In other action, the Supervisors approved American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding for the Cass County drone program in the amount of $29,500. They also approve providing $25,000 in ARPA funding this fiscal year to each of the fire departments in Cass County, with the exception of the Anita Fire Department who has already received funds. The goal is to provide these departments two additional payments of $25,000 if the second round of ARPA funding comes in.
