(Fremont Co.) Four people were arrested on Theft and Drug charges in Fremont County.
The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office says at approximately 11:53 p.m. on Thursday, Deputies were called to the 5-mile marker southbound Interstate 29 to assist a motorist with a disabled vehicle.
Upon arrival, Deputies located a silver Chrysler 300, and observed indicators of criminal activity. The Mills County K9 Unit was called to assist and K9 Judge alerted to controlled substances in the vehicle. A search was conducted, and stolen property and narcotics were located.
Deputies arrested Carl Haskins, age 58, of Kansas City, Kansas for Theft 2nd Degree and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Jamishia Misirlija, age 41, of Kansas City, Kansas, for Theft 2nd Degree and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Janice Thompson, age 59, of Kansas City, Kansas, for Theft 2nd Degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drugs; and Ellen Montgomery, age 57, of Kansas City, Kansas, for Theft 2nd Degree and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
