(Glenwood) Glenwood won four events and scored 170 points and captured the team title at their home meet on Monday. Lewis Central finished second with 117-points, and Atlantic finished third with 76.50.
Treynor started off the meet with a first-place finish in the 800 Sprint Medley Relay (1:36.66) with Noah Nelson, Kayden Dirks, Jaxon Schumacher, and Todd Pedersen. Atlantic won the 4×800 Meter Relay with Caden Andersen, Alex Sonntag, Jayden Proehl, and Bennett Whetstone (8:35.20).
With team members; Landon Couse, Riley Fouts, Jack Kling, and Baylor Bergren, Red Oak won the Distance Medley in (3:47.83). Lewis Central won the 4×200 meter relay with team members Luciano Fidone, Tyler Hinsley, Braylon Kammrad, and Jonathan Humpal, (1:31.82). Treynor won the Shuttle Hurdle Relay in a time of (1:03.62), with Kayden Dirks, Jaxon Schumacher, Karson Elwood, and Todd Pedersen. Treynor brought home the gold in the 4×100 meters relay in a season’s best time of (43.98). Noah Nelson, Todd Pedersen, Kayden Dirks, and Jaxon Schumacher lowered their time of (44.38)l from a week ago.
Individually, Brendan Monahan of St. Albert, one of the state’s top sprinters, won the 100 meters (11:03) and the 200 meters (22.34). (Video with Brendan Monahan posted below)
Alex Razee of Shenandoah won the 400 meters (52.61). Tyler Boldra, of Glenwood, topped the field in the 110 hurdles (15.50). Todd Pedersen of Treynor won the 400-meter hurdles (57.08). Andrew Smith of Glenwood won the 800 meters (2:07.48), Baylor Bergren, of Red Oak, won the 1600 meters (4:38.11), Colin Lillie of St. Albert, finished second, (4:40.52), and Atlantic’s Alex Sonntag (4:47.14), and Drew Engler, (4:48.29) finished third and fourth. Colin Lillie of St. Albert won the 3200 meters (9:57.57).
Cody Krause of Glenwood jumped (20-09.50) to win the Long Jump in the field events. Drake Relays qualifier Hunter Deyo of Lewis Central won the Shot Put (51-06.00), and the discus with a throw of (137-07). Cody Krause of Glenwood cleared (6-00.00) and won the high jump.
