(Logan) The storm that blew through portions of western Iowa damaged two residents, trees, and agricultural land in Harrison County.
Harrison County Emergency Management Coordinator Philip Davis assessed the damage on Wednesday morning. He reports significant damage to two Harrison County residences south of Logan and major damage to a residence in the Woodbine area. He reports one injury to a responder assisting with storm spotting during the storm.
At approximately 7:53 p.m. on Tuesday, the National Weather Service issued a Tornado Warning for Harrison County. The warning was issued for a line of severe storms with the potential of producing a tornado. Radar indicated rotation from south and east of the Missouri Valley city limits and tracked northeast to east of Woodbine.
Harrison County officials ask property owners to report their damages to the Harrison County Emergency Management Agency if they haven’t done so. The damage reports can go to report-a-harrison.orioncentral.com/ or contact Harrison County Communications at 712-644-2244. Harrison County Management will be out again today to assess the damage.
