(Cedar Rapids) The Larry Niemeyer Senior All-Star Series will take place this weekend at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids.
Area selections in Class 1A include Maddie Stewart (Mount Ayr), Pearl Reisz (St. Albert), Mollie Rasmussen (Exira-EHK), Mallory Behnken (CAM), Macy Emgarten (Exira-EHK), Chay Ward (Sidney), and Brynn Bass (Coon Rapids-Bayard).
Class 2A participants from the area conferences are Zoie Vaught (Van Meter), Lauren Martin (Central Decatur), Kendra Kuck (Underwood), Madelyn Jaeger (West Central Valley), and Payton Beckman (Panorama).
Class 1A and 2A have a white team, a gray team, and a select team. Raegen Wicks, of Harlan, will play on the 3A/4A/5A Grey Select Team.
The 4A/5A Gray team includes Brianna Fields (Creston) and Madison Camden (Glenwood).
Sidney’s Paige Landwehr is one of twelve coaches chosen to lead a team.
