(Sioux City) Exira-EHK graduate Sophia Peppers was recognized by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics as an All-American this week. The Morningside College senior was named to the Women’s Basketball Third Team.
Peppers averaged 14.9 points and 6.4 rebounds for the Mustangs. It’s the second All-American recognition of her career. Peppers ranks 12th on Morningside’s all-time scoring list with 1,590 points. She also has 709 career rebounds, 317 assists, and 205 steals. Peppers has shot 50% from the field, 36.5% from behind the 3-point line, and 79.7% at the free-throw line over the last four years.
Last season she was an NAIA Honorable Mention All-American.
