(Atlantic) Jane Becker of Becker Travel in Atlantic says many of her clients are interested in flying to destinations within the United States rather than abroad. According to some experts, its’ because of the required paperwork, passports, COVID tests, and vaccination documents.
Becker says travel restrictions within the U.S. don’t require a test or proof of vaccination…just a mask.
Becker says some countries are changing their tune in regards to COVID. Spain and Italy, two countries with strict traveling mandates at the onset of the virus, now have loosened restrictions.
Becker says many people have waited long enough, and they’re ready to travel. However, the spike in crude oil prices will impact air travel. Travel experts say rising fuel costs will eventually affect the price of a plane ticket. Travelers may see “fuel surcharges” or higher fees for flights.
