Larry Archie Tunnell was born on May 6, 1953, in Carson, IA. He died on February 27, 2022 at CHI Health Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, NE, at the age of 68 years, 9 months and 21 days.
Larry worked as an over the road truck driver and drove a school bus. He was a member of the Macedonia Volunteer Fire Department and the Knights of Columbus.
Larry married LaVonne Strong. They enjoyed three children: Janet Parick, Gary Bauman, and Mary Hanshaw; nine grandchildren: Justin and Dustin Hanshaw, Melissa and Nichole Driver, Michelle and Joseph Baumen, Alisia Driver, Courtney and Casey Patrick; and fourteen great grandchildren: Jimi, Aden, Summer, Christopher, Steven, Kaden, Brantley, Reagan, Derrick, Jacob, Hailey, Christopher, Aizabeth and Emma.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Becky, and his brother Kenny.
A memorial service will be held at the Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland on Monday, March 14, 2022, at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at a later date. Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland is assisting the family.
