(Harlan) Brad Curren’s 22 first half points headlined Harlan’s 74-29 postseason win over Perry on Monday. The Cyclone boys jumped in front 27-4 after one quarter and led 50-9 at halftime.
Curren drilled four 3-pointers in the 1st quarter and added two more makes beyond the arc in the 2nd. Coach Mitch Osborn commented on Curren’s shooting performance, “He was on fire yesterday and he’s been on fire in practice.” Osborn says, “Brad is a great shooter and he hit tonight. He’s struggled this year, but he had a great night tonight and we hope that carries over.” Jacob Birch scored 14 of his 16 points in the first half. Teagon Kasperbauer added five points. Ten different Cyclones scored in the win. Perry was led by eight points each from Brandon Mahler and Drake Levan.
Perry ends their year at 2-20. Harlan improves to 16-6 and will host a substate final game on Thursday. Thursday’s game will air on KSOM.
