(Omaha) A Ryan Hawkins basket with 2:00 left in the game gave Creighton the lead and Ryan Kalkbrenner sealed Sunday’s 83-82 victory over Marquette when he made two free-throws with :04 remaining.
The Bluejays improve to 10-5 in the Big East and are 18-8 overall. All five starters scored in double figures. Kalkbrenner made 8/9 from the field and led the way with 21 points. Hawkins submitted 17 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. Ryan Nembhard mad 4/6 from 3-point range, scored 18 points, and passed out 5 assists.
