Iowa State Patrol Trooper and District #4 Public Information Officer Shelby McCreedy says these programs are designed to reduce traffic accidents across the nation during what law enforcement considers “high risk” periods.
Trooper McCreedy says this weekend that law enforcement across Iowa will have additional resources on the roadways to reduce the number of impaired drivers.
The safety initiative focuses on deterring the three leading causes of highway deaths – aggressive driving, impaired driving, and failure to wear a seat belt.
