(New York, NY) — Dotdash Meredith is announcing it will stop printing five magazines and lay off about 200 workers. The move comes about two months after Dotdash merged with Meredith Corporation. WHO reports most of the cuts came in the company’s New York office. A spokesperson says about three percent of the Des Moines workforce would be affected – or a little over two dozen local jobs. Dotdash says it is going to invest about 80 million dollars in improving content this year. Magazines no longer being printed include EatingWell, Entertainment Weekly, Health, InStyle, and Parents and People en Espanol.
