The Cyclones led 17-14 after one quarter, but were outscored 16-8 in the 2nd and 23-11 in the 3rd. Madison Camden went 7/11 from the field and scored 17 points. Jenna Hopp added 14.
Kuemper Catholic 44, Atlantic 38
Catherine Mayhall led the way for the Knights with 13 points and Aquet Malek had 12. Atlantic’s top scorer was Paytn Harter with 20 while Jada Jensen scored 13.
Audubon 42, Riverside 25
Aleah Hermansen had 13 points to become Audubon’s career scoring leader. Sienna Albertsen connected on 4 3-pointers and scored 14 points. Riverside’s leading scorer was Elly Henderson with 8. She went 6/8 at the free-throw line while also notching 5 rebounds and 6 steals.
CAM 61, West Harrison 16
The Cougars jumped out to a 25-5 lead at the end of the 1st quarter and outscored the Hawkeyes 27-0 in the 2nd. Eva Steffensen had 14 points on 7/10 shooting. Grace Hensley scored 11.
Nodaway Valley 85, Bedford 25
The Wolverines led 62-12 at half. Maddax DeVault scored 27 followed by Lindsey Davis with 26. Kelly Weed topped Bedford’s scoring chart with 12.
Boys
Kuemper Catholic 67, Atlantic 64
Dawson Gifford scored 15 points and Isaac Evans had 12 for Kuemper. Atlantic got 16 from Colton Rasmussen while Dayton Templeton had 13 and Carter Pellett 12. The Trojans fall to 0-5 and all losses have been by 12 points or less. Four of them have been within 7 points.
Bedford 55, Nodaway Valley 34
Tristen Cummings, Owen Lucas, and Silas Walston all scored 11 for 5-0 Bedford. Nodaway Valley got 10 points from Boston DeVault. A 12-3 2nd quarter advantage helped the Bulldogs erase an early 6-0 deficit.
AHSTW 79, Missouri Valley 40
Brayden Lund had 24 points and 8 rebounds. Kyle Sternberg posted 18 points and 6 boards. Raydden Grobe contributed 13 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. AHSTW is 4-0 with an average margin of victory at 39.25 points per game.
CAM 48, West Harrison 45 (OT)
Colby Rich made 4 3-pointers and scored 17 points as CAM notches a key Rolling Valley Conference win. Finishing with 8 points were Cade Ticknor, Lane Spieker, and Seth Hensley. Sage Evans made 10/12 free-throws and led West Harrison with 17 points. The Cougars won despite going 8/26 at the line.
Audubon 58, Riverside 43
Grady Jeppesen led Riverside with 21 points. He was 7/9 on 2-point attempts.
