(Griswold) A 12-2 run to end the first quarter gave Riverside the lead for good in a 52-17 boys basketball win on Monday.
The Bulldogs didn’t allow a single point in the 2nd quarter and gave up only two free-throws in the 3rd quarter. They held leads of 14-9 after one, 32-9 at half, and 46-11 going into the 4th.
Grady Jeppesen scored 17 of his game high 19 points before halftime. The sophomore ups his scoring average to 17 points per game. Jon Alff added 10 in the win while Garrett Hough scored all eight of his points after halftime. Riverside outscored their opponent 32-2 over the course of the 2nd and 3rd quarter.
Griswold’s high scorer was Aiden Kennedy with five. Landon Pelzer scored four.
The Bulldogs move to 2-2 on the season with back-to-back wins over IKM-Manning and now Griswold. On Tuesday they’ll travel to Underwood for their 2nd of four road games this week. 1-2 Griswold hosts Stanton on Tuesday night.
