(Omaha) Iowa State moved to 8-0 on the season with a 64-58 win at Creighton on Saturday. The Cyclones got big production off the bench from Caleb Grill.
Grill made all four his his 3-point attempts and led the team in scoring with 16 points. Izaiah Brockington had 12 points and six rebounds.
Ryan Hawkins led the way for Creighton. The Atlantic native had 25 points on 8/11 shooting. Hawkins made 3/5 beyond the arc and went 6/6 at the line. He added five rebounds and one block. Ryan Nembhard was the only other Bluejay in double figures with 10 points. Besides Hawkins, Creighton made just 11/34 from the field.
Creighton goes to 7-2 on the season. They’ll oppose #12 BYU on Saturday, December 11th. ISU opposes Iowa on Thursday in Ames.
