(Guthrie Co.) The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors approved a Job Interview Approval Form at their meeting Wednesday morning.
Guthrie County Supervisors Chairman Mike Dickson said there are certain departments that fall under the Supervisors, such as Secondary Roads, IT, HR, the Transfer Station, and when employees are hired and a payroll change notice comes in the Supervisors can vote it up or down. However…
Therefore, Dickson said they wanted to come up with a form for those Departments to bring in for interviews.
Dickson said with this, the Departments can also offer the position to somebody the day of the interview and not have to wait until a Board meeting to offer it.
One concern brought up was being accused someday of micromanaging these offices.
In other news, the Supervisors set November 16th at 10:00 a.m. as the Public Hearing date/time for the Fiscal Year 2021-2022 Budget Amendment #1 for the American Rescue Plan Funds. The Board tabled a 28E Agreement with Elderbridge Agency on Aging until the County Attorney can review it.
The Board also received updates from County Engineer Josh Sebern and discussed potential change orders and the budget for the Law Enforcement Center Project.
