(Atlantic) On Saturday afternoon, Missouri Valley-USTA Executive Director Mary Buschmann and Missouri Valley-USTA Tennis Service Representative John Terpkosh presented the Atlantic Community School District with a $40,000 check towards constructing the new tennis courts at the Atlantic School. The brand new facility is part of the school district’s multi-million-dollar athletic facilities renovation project.
Buschmann said the USTA is fortunate to provide $40,000 towards this project and the technical support provided during the construction process.
Atlantic Activities Director Andy Mitchell says the $40,000 and the technical support from the USTA were instrumental towards the construction of the new tennis facility.
Stuart Dusenberry, former Atlantic Tennis Coach, Educator, and past-president of the Missouri Valley-USTA Board of Directors, played a crucial role in securing the $40,000 grant and the $100,000 grant from the USTA for the renovation of the courts at Sunnyside Park. Dusenberry currently serves as a USTA Committee member.
