(State) The road to the Dome is becoming more clear for high school football teams. Sixteen teams are alive in each class. The Iowa High School Athletic Association has updated their playoff pairings. For the complete pods you can click HERE
In 8-Player football CAM is in pod 4 and will host Fremont-Mills. The winner plays either Lenox or Newell-Fonda in the quarterfinals. Audubon is in pod 3 and travels to Montezuma. The opposite matchup in that grouping is WACO at Martensdale-St. Marys.
In Class A, pod 2 has SW Valley at Woodbury Central and Logan-Magnolia at Mount Ayr. Earlham is in pod 3 and will travel to Grundy Center. The winner gets wither North Tama or Lynnville-Sully.
ACGC travels to South Central Calhoun in Class 1A, pod 2. The other matchup has Woodward-Granger at Van Meter. Underwood is in pod 1 of Class 1A against Western Christian. Also in pod 1 are Ridge View and West Sioux.
Greene County hosts OABCIG in a Class 2A, pod 2 pairing. The winner gets together with SE Valley or Iowa Falls-Alden.
In Class 3A, pod 3 it’ll be Harlan welcoming Ballard. The opposite matchup is ADM at Nevada.
Winterset is in Class 4A’s pod 1 and gets a home game against Clear Creek-Amana. Also in that grouping is Decorah at North Scott. Lewis Central hosts Spencer in pod 4. The other matchup has Carlisle at Indianola.
