(Audubon) The Certified Enrollment numbers are out for the Audubon School District.
Superintendent Eric Trager discussed those numbers with the school board Monday evening.
“We are up about 19 students over last year, so that’s good news for the District financially and we’re glad to have that moving in the right direction,” stated Trager.
In other news, tomorrow is bid day for the Middle School/High School Renovation Project.
“That’s when we’ll kind of know what our costs are going to be and then we can either move forward with the financing and get the work going, or regroup yet again,” said Trager. “We’re hopeful for a good competitive bid day and hopefully we’ll be able to get this project off the ground and get the renovations finished.”
Meanwhile, the School Board approved an engagement letter with Ahlers-Cooney as the bond counsel and disclosure counsel to get the financing in order for the building renovation project.
The Audubon School Board also held a discussion on a possible Early Retirement plan. Trager said they will put together some plans and take action during their meeting in November.
