(Atlantic) At the City Council meeting Wednesday, Atlantic City Administrator John Lund said they have gotten a lot of feedback about a pair of signs in town expressing political opinions in some pretty vulgar language. He said people have been contacting City Hall because they find them offensive and they want the City to do something about it.
Lund went over the First Amendment and explained that the City can’t do anything about it.
John Lund said the only exception when you can regulate vulgar language is when it is in sexual context and it has no literary, artistic, political or scientific value; which basically means it is pornographic.
