(Iowa City, IA) — Results of a survey of students at the University of Iowa show 12 percent of women report they have been raped since entering college.
Eighteen percent of transgender or gender non-conforming students agree. The responses also showed nearly half of all students say they wouldn’t know where to go to report sexual misconduct on the Iowa City campus.
A separate report lists 25 rapes reported last year, with 20 happening in on-campus housing.
