(Griswold) The Griswold Tigers travel to Afton on Friday night to face East Union in football. Each team is seeking their first win of the year.
Griswold found some positives in their passing game last week as freshman Nick Jennum caught six passes for 103 yards and two touchdowns. They also ran for over 100 yards in their Week 4 loss to Stanton/Essex.
East Union enters on the heels of their highest scoring output of the season. The Eagles were defeated by Lenox last Friday night 75-21. They turned to Seth Hudson at quarterback and the sophomore went 8/13 for 157 yards and 3 TD’s. Wyatt Carlson snagged two TD catches among his five receptions for 170 yards.
This will be East Union’s homecoming game. The series has been competitive in recent years with two of the last three meetings being decided by two scores or less. East Union won last year’s game 18-12.
