The Cougars move to 4-0. Lane Spieker scored on seven of his 15 carries with 289 yards, an average of 19.3 per rush. He also completed 5/7 passes for 98 yards and one TD. Austin Williams contributed 75 rushing yards and a touchdown on six attempts. Williams also intercepted two passes. Keegan Croghan ran four time for 38 yards and a score. Colby Rich caught four passes for 75 yards and one TD. Rich boomed a 40 yard punt. Jack Follmann had a 40 yard touchdown catch from Ethan Follmann. Joe Kauffman posted seven tackles including six solos and two tackles for loss.
Audubon 56, Exira-EHK 7
Audubon is 4-0. Gavin Smith carried 20 times for 176 yards with four trips to the end zone. He completed 3/7 passes for 29 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. Evan Alt added a rushing TD with 26 yards on seven attempts. Carter Andreasen spanned 59 yards on three carries. Andreasen and Braden Wessel each had one TD catch. Wessel added a punt return for a score. He returned four punts for 72 yards. Andreasen and Joey Schramm led the team in tackles with 7.5 and 6.5 tackles respectively. Schramm’s night included 4.5 sacks and 5.5 tackles for loss. The Wheelers forced four turnovers including an interception that Manny Beisswenger returned 53 yards.
Stanton/Essex 60, Griswold 12
Logan Roberts rushed for 153 yards and three scores while Carter Johnson ran for 129 yards and two touchdowns on only four carries. Johnson also hit Jack Roberts for a 55 yard passing score on the first play from scrimmage. Levi Martin added a 67 yard rushing TD. Griswold’s offense was led by Nick Jennum with 26 yards rushing and 07 yards receiving. He caught five passes and two touchdowns.
Underwood 62, East Sac County 13
Alex Ravlin was 14/21 passing for 215 yards and four TD’s. Scott Pearson caught five balls for 51 yards and a TD. Collin Brandt had two catches for 56 yards and one score. Joey Andersen ran nine times for 106 yards and three touchdowns.
