(Mondamin) Three people suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 29 in Harrison County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 7:50 p.m. on Saturday, near the 89-mile marker. The three people injured are identified as; 35-year old Junior Belleh Solo of Des Moines, Abhijit Bahl, and Kanika Dhawan, both from Omaha.
According to the report, a southbound 2013 Chrysler 200 Touring driven by Junior Belleh Solo drove on the west shoulder and rear-ended a 2019 Toyota Camry parked on the side of the road with a flat tire. The Chrysler then crossed both lanes of traffic and came to rest on the east shoulder against the cable guardrail.
Mondamin EMS transported Solo to the Missouri Valley Hospital, Missouri Valley EMS transported Abhijit Bahl to the Missouri Valley Hospital, and Life flight transported Kanika Dhawan to the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
